1.5 Love God
1.5 Kingdom of God....
Jesus said, "The Kingdom of God is here now".
- I Corinthians 12:1
- I Corinthians 14:1-2
- Jude 20-21
- I John 3:22
- I Corinthians 2:13-14
1. God does not want us to be ignorant about spiritual gifts.
2. Follow the way of love (selflessness) speak in an unknown tongue to God.
3. We can be built up in our faith by praying in the Holy Spirit.
4. We are commanded to keep ourselves in God's love as we wait for Jesus to
bring us to eternal life.
5. Receive from Him anything we ask, because we obey His commands and do
what pleases Him. (This is the posture of selflessness.)
6. We know that He lives in us, we know it by the Spirit He gave us.
7. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in
words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.
The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the
Spirit of God.
8. I recommend speaking in tongues every day. This will build you up in your
life. After doing this for years, you will find that this practice changes
everything.
9. When we talk about others negatively, we are feeding on the flesh, and that
tears us down spiritually. It is like eating a rush of sugar. It feels good
for the moment, but we are left hungry and malnourished. This is the
opposite to walking in the Spirit.
10. When we walk in the Spirit, we will find “His yoke is easy and His burden
is light.” Our steps each day will be steps of righteousness, love, joy,
peace, patience, long suffering, self control, etc., against such things
there is no law.
11. To truly make Jesus and His ways our priority we must give up your hopes,
dreams and ambitions and care about what God cares about. not what we care
about. Plan to give these things up each day, this is living your life for the glory of God. This is also putting your trust in God. When we trust in God, this is when
we really find Him and know Him and His ways.
